Downtown Orlando Events
One thing Downtown Orlando never has a shortage of is events. Whether it's a 5K run, or the annual Blues N BBQ cookout, you will never be bored in the city's core. Most of these events take place around Lake Eola, although that may change with the Performing Arts Center opening in 2012.
Until then, we will update you about events and location in the Downtown area on this section of the website.

The Fourth of July at Lake Eola - Annual 4th of July Lake Eola Fireworks
Free: July 4, 2010 at Lake Eola Park
I may be biased, but the City of Orlando's fireworks display over Lake Eola, in the core of The City Beautiful is my absolute favorite. The event will feature a 20 minute fireworks display, set to music from the Lake Eola amphitheatre. Make sure to arrive early, as thousands of people crowd into Lake Eola Park for the display. You may also want to contact us about buying a condo in Downtown Orlando, because the traffic to ge tout of Downtown after the fireworks can take over an hour!
